This painting, Cat With Lilies, and its companion, Cat With Lilies 2, both feature spider lilies along with my favorite neighborhood stray cat. The combination of the red of the lilies and the unusual colors of this cat's fur were interesting.
Spider lilies only appear after the first good rain in the fall, When you see the spider lilies blooming in Mississippi, you know that cooler weather is on its way.
