USPS Priority Mail Shipping Times & Covid
The Shopify default USPS Priority Mail options that will display when you purchase most items on the website are showing as deliverable within 1-2 business days, depending on your state and zip code.
As of November 30, 2020, the USPS website says Priority Mail includes delivery in 1-3 business days. They also acknowledge on their website that in some cases, "Priority Mail’s two and three day service commitments now will be extended to three and four days respectively."
If there is any difference in delivery times that I am made aware of by the USPS at the time I ship your package, I will let you know. I will also email you the tracking number.
Local Pickup option
Local Pickup means that for customers living in the greater Jackson, MS area, I will make arrangements directly with you to meet (in a masked and socially distanced way during Covid) at a commercial location in Clinton or North Jackson to give you the artwork. The Clinton police department's location in downtown Clinton offers several parking spaces for people to meet to exchange goods purchased online.
A customer can't choose to have some items shipped and some items picked up on the same order. Instead, the customer should place two separate orders.
General Shipping Procedure
1. Once payment is received, I will prepare your painting, drawing, etc. for shipping.
2. A painting may need to dry if it recently been created. I also apply a light coat of varnish for protection. I may also need to have the painting professionally photographed locally before shipping it to you. If your painting requires additional time to dry or varnish or will be photographed before shipment, I will get in touch with you directly after your purchase to let you know this.
3. For smaller artwork, I use the U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail with signature confirmation. For larger canvases, I use UPS. You should be able to choose the best rate and delivery option for you when you check out. If you have any questions about shipping, please contact me to discuss further.
4. I will send you a USPS or UPS tracking email once the painting has shipped so you will know when to expect your delivery. My artwork is shipped within the continental US, is personally packaged, and fully insured.
